Gunners note - I've used one of these reels in the 2000 size for the past 4 years now. I've abused it, not maintained it, never oiled it, left it frozen in a block of ice over multiple winters, and it still operated as smoothly as the day it was new. Caught Pike, Bass, Walleye, Perch and all manners of small fish with it. I have zero complaints at all!
