In this page I will attempt to provide answers to some of the questions I receive on the regular.
Q1 - Do you Sell Live Bait
A1 - We do carry worms and will be looking into other possibilities in the near future, but not Minnows, Crayfish or Leeches
Q2 - Why Not?
A2 - Selling any live bait besides worms requires a Live Bait License from the MNRF. To get the the license you have to pay to apply, have meetings with MNRF agents and provide action plans to prevent the spread of fishborn diseases. After that if you are approved for the license you need to get a proper set up for the bait to keep the live bait alive, and finally source it. With the new bait management zones it makes it harder to source and you can't even carry dead, frozen or salted bait from outside you BMZ. At the current time, with our limited space it would not be financially viable to get into that right now.
Q3 - Why don't you just expand?
A3 - The all mighty dollar, We try to avoid situations where we have to pay for product using credit, preferring to pay outright for all product and equipment. Saves headaches and keeps costs down. Unfortunately it slows expansion too. Kind a double edged sword.
Q4 - What are the goals in the future?
A4 - Hoping soon to expand to a bigger trailer and keep working with other local businesses to make our products more available. We also want to keep looking into more unique items not yet in the local markets (ie our SV fishing selection) and bring in more locally made products.
Q5 - I ordered from you and it came in an Amazon Box? Why?
A5 - This Guy gets mad if you don't recycle, reduce and reuse
